Mathematics in the Classroom: Mineshaft and Skylight.
Memories and Reflections of a Teacher with an Introduction to Projective and Inversive Geometry.
by Amos Franceschelli .
This book is written in three parts: The first part entitled 'Background', sets forth some fo the author's deep-felt convictions regarding the nature and role of mathematics as applied in the classroom. They are addressed to teachers and non-teachers at all levels. The second part is an introduction to Projective and Inversive Geometry, which the author considers to be of particular relevance for high school (sixth form) students. The third part, heading 'Assembly Skits,' presents a more light and marginal aspect of mathematics teaching.
